Our two new Screen Ireland funded short films-- 'The Trap' directed by Helen Flanagan and 'Low Tide' directed by Ian Hunt Duffy- both had their World Premiere on Saturday 17th of November at the Cork Film Festival. Both films went down really well with the audience, so we're looking forward to screening at more festivals soon. Watch this space!

Principal photography has begun on the feature film 'Let Your Guard Down', which will be filming in Dublin over the next 4 weeks. The film is a crime drama written and directed by Paddy Slattery, produced by Simon Doyle of Failsafe Films, and starring Tristan Heanue, Gemma Leah Devereux and John Connors. Watch this space!

MOTH successfully receives funding

Happy to announce that we have successfully received funding for 'MOTH' from the Short Grass Films Funding Scheme. 'MOTH' is the new short film to be written and directed by Allyn Quigley and produced by Simon James Doyle. "I am absolutely delighted to have our project selected by Kildare County Council for funding this year" said Allyn, "It’s a massive honour to get the chance to make a film set and shot on location in my home county of Kildare. Our team looks forward to working with Short Grass Films and helping to continue the amazing work they have done over the past few years.'

Filming on our Irish Film Board Focus Short 'The Trap' has wrapped! 'The Trap' was filmed over 5 days in Wicklow and is written and directed by Helen Flanagan. The film will have it's world premiere at the Cork Film Festival in November. Watch this space!

Berlinale Talents is the annual summit and networking platform of the Berlin International Film Festival for 250 outstanding creatives from the fields of film and drama series. The 2018 Berlinale Talents team will welcome filmmakers from 81 countries to Berlin from February 17-22, 2018, including 128 women and 122 men. One of their number will be Irish writer/director/producer Ian Hunt Duffy.
